Upon arrival at Avalon, all bunnies receive veterinary evaluation and care, including flea and mite treatment as needed. Bunnies are vaccinated for RHDV2, and most are spayed/neutered before being adopted. For those that are not fixed prior to adoption (this can happen when a baby is adopted before being old enough for surgery), we work with adoptive families to make that happen ASAP, using our vet or theirs. Until the bunnies are fixed, we consider them as a "foster to adopt" status. Spaying and neutering bunnies is incredibly important for their overall health and general wellbeing.
AVAILABLE TO FOSTER OR ADOPT
Celeste (agouti female with white nose), Eileen Rose (grey lionhead female), Blackie Lawless (black neutered male with white front paw)
This terrific trio of buns fell in love in the funniest way. Meet the three buns before you, who would not STOP jumping into each others pens until they were allowed to stay for good. Blackie Lawless adopted the young Celeste and Eileen as his own, and now they are a happy family.
. Eileen is estimated to be 1 year old, so we say that she and Blackie share the same birthday, 5/13/23.
These buns love to eat, cuddle, and play. Inviting a trio into your home will be so rewarding, because you're adopting 3 best friends!
Neutered, RHD vaccinated, litter trained
These little fermented friends are brothers who were brought into sanctuary care when their mom was found on the roadside with her 5 newborn babies.
Kimchi and Kraut are BFFS, and do everything together. They have twin telepathy and are always sitting in the same positions, or doing the same things at the same time. They are used to cats and are currently fostered. They are eligible to go to another long term foster, or be fostered to be adopted :)
These boys are sweet, soooo handsome, and super clean and friendly!
FOSTERED IN REDMOND, WA
Sex: males
Pastel (blonde neutered male), Angel (white neutered male)
RHD vaccinated: yes
DOB: April 15th 2022
Pastel and Angel are two adorable little boys who were born in Avalon care over 2 years ago. They were adopted and returned due to no fault of their own. These boys are super calm, clean, and bubbly. They love to eat breakfast together and snuggle up in the sunshine. They would do well in an active home and have experience with dogs, cats, and kids.
Minnie - spayed female Lionhead mix
Sven - neutered male Flemish Giant/English Lop mix
Age: DOB 2022 for both
Tiny meets mondo in this cute duo of opposites. Minnie, our sweet and petite Lionhead mix, fell ears over tail in love with big boy Sven. Was it his namesake? A little girl in his first foster family named him after Sven, the reindeer in Frozen, and we kinda see the resemblance. We can't be sure, but we can tell you these two self-bonded and love nothing more than to snuggle up together.
Minnie and Sven have been around kids, dogs and cats, and we have to say, there's not a lot that bothers them -- they are pretty chill and easy going. Are they the perfect pair for you?? Come meet them and find out!
Sex: females, awaiting spay
DOB: October 2023
Breed: lops
Betty (brown) and Winnifred (brown and white) are 2 sisters who were rescued from a woman in 4H who was going to kill them when she had no more use for them. They are very sweet and chunky girls who need extra love during this new chapter in their lives. Betty and Winnifred really enjoy food, and love to sprawl out and relax after they have a full belly.
Note about holland lops- these buns are more prone to future dental issues because of their face shape. They also need regular ear cleanings because they cannot clean their ears well on their own because they are lopped.
Sex: males, awaiting neuter
RHD vaccine series: completed.
These brothers were born after their mom was rescued and surprised us with a litter of spotty little babies. They are spunky and sweet, and love to play outside when the weather cooperates.
They would like to lodge a complaint: They got stuck in the T Wing at the rescue. The T wing was their last choice - they were hoping for the sunroom, or, at the very least, the living room. But the T wing? Come On!!! They are NOT happy with management and demand that the situation be rectified ASAP.
Management wishes to point out that they are receiving fair treatment - the house rule is that all unneutered boys live in the T Wing until they are fixed, at which time their request for a room upgrade will be honored. (Can you guess what the T stands for?)
Furthermore, management wishes to notify You, that Your house is their ideal home. (you know it's true). Apply to adopt them. Now.

Favorite ice cream - chocolate chip
Dandelion - Male lionhead mix, fixed, vaccinated. Orange, Estimated DOB 2021
Female - dwarf lionhead mix, fixed, vaccinated. Speckled, Estimated DOB 5/2023
These two are the cutest, sweetest pair looking for their happily ever after, having had horrible experiences in their past.
Dancelion was literally left in a box on our doorstep on a hot summer morning in 2022. No note was enclosed in his box. We do not know his backstory. He spent nearly a year in a foster to adopt situation with a family who had two pomeranians. Unfortunately, when the relationship ended in divorce, Dandelion came back to Avalon. (we hate it when that happens!)
Aquafaba was caught outside of an apartment near a local feral colony in March 2024. She is an opinionated little lady, but warms up to people fairly quickly. Both Dandy and Aqua had a wonderful potential home earlier in spring of 2025, but their bond with the first bunny in the house was not to be (three-way bonds are challenging), so they have sadly come back to the rescue.
If you're looking for a bonded pair, these two should be at the top of your list! Dandy will require some extra grooming, mostly around his face, to help him see.
